The Rainbow Mango, not many of us here have realized how valuable fruit really is. Many people spend their time traveling the world chasing the fruit seasons. Duriophiles are a prime example, I’ve gone to another country to feast on figs, find exotic cultivars of mangoes and after doing so have met many others doing the same. It is a rewarding path, but what is better than bringing it all home?
Here is a photo of a grafted Maha Chanook Mango also known as the Rainbow Mango. This is one of the best mango varieties and well suited to wet tropical regions. Flying it into the country as a scion, and grafting it onto an in ground seedling, having 2 of the 4 scions successfully take is one of the best experiences I’ve had in life, until this lovely tree fruits I’m sure!
