An evil guide to profiting off the fear of your surveiled citizens.
We live in a glorious time. The citizens are finally aware of how utterly we oppress and control them, and for the first time, they are completely powerless to stop us. They know we have tanks, bombs, obedient soldiers and police, as well as all other manner of weapons, such as societally enforced oppression, and even religious ideas that keep them in line. But none of it compares to what we have now.

Fear of a spying god, or fear of a spying neighbor is trumped by the fact that they are spied upon by their own electronics. Their internet history is recorded. Their phone-calls are ours. Text-messages can be viewed and stored, and we even have phones that have always-on cameras and microphones.
Oh yes, this is truly a wonderful, happy future for us. We spy on all that they do, and the best part is, is that we can rely perfectly safely on panopticon social theory, where we just use machines to sort through the garbage data, so we find the real stuff. Why should we dirty our hands looking through those sub-human diaries called social media, when we can just get a robot to do it, and then hire a subservient human to do the work if there is an alert? Well, the question is answered simply: We shouldn't.
We do in fact get machine-learned computers to do it, and we do hire subservient drone humans to do the rest of the work. With what money? Hahahahah, oh, you're a riot. We simply steal-er, we tax the very people we spy upon. Oh yes, we tax them very nicely, so that we can pay our servants a handsome amount. Hopefully enough that they keep their mouths shut about all of it.

Who are we? We are the NSA, the GCHQ, and any other government organization that needs to oppress the common rabble. Those filthy, disgusting, immoral scum-of-the-earth shitstains that think they're as smart or as worthy as us elected officials. They should bow to us.
They don't, sadly, but at least they fear us. Oh yes, they fear us so much that they willfully self-censor. They won't even talk openly about actual revolution that would ever be effective. Instead, they uselessly march and protest, trying to ask us nicely to change things. Don't worry, you’re not alone: I'm laughing too. I'm quite jolly at the fact that they can even begin to think such tactics will be effective.
They're not.
If stuff gets hot, we just lie. Obviously. I'm sure it's less of a lie at this point, seeing as they all know that every word we speak is a lie. We're politicians after all. But how's this for truth: The truth is that the common idiot-citizen has a cult-like appreciation of us. We just send in some charismatic, likable fellow like Trump, or even the admirable, lovable, soft and gentle Theresa May. Oh, what a lovely lady; and after we present them to the public, they get voted on, and everyone ends up thinking that because they're elected, or otherwise accepted, that they're legitimate rulers. Thus we have our peace and quiet.
I prefer cake, to go with their silence.
I don't hear a protest. Do you?
We tax those fools, use the taxes to hire people to spy on them, then they self-censor, and fear that we'll take 'em out one at a time, and thus they keep quiet, and we get rich and powerful. Oh, such power. One second, I need a tissue for this little mess I've made. That's the life of a politician, ya know.
Sadly, the coffers have been a bit empty lately. No worries, we'll just sell our spying technology to the Americans, and all the information we've collected to the highest bidder. Why not? It's not like we can be stopped. We have all the power, and they have none.
And they will never have any, because they're weak, stupid, and lead like docile sheep.
It's truly hilarious how helpless they are.
Goodbye anonymity. Goodbye privacy. Goodbye security. Goodbye freedom.
To the grave with you.
And if anyone dares come up with a way to be anonymous that we cannot spy on or control... oh dear.
Oh dear dear dear, we are doomed, so we pray that no one comes up with any anonymity giving service. Being able to host your own website anonymously would very likely be a death sentence to our power. Being able to have money that we don't control would be harrowing to our grasp on power. To even think that we don't have utter control over their minds and thoughts would be devastating.
And nothing would be worse than if they could actually be free, and beyond our control.
I shudder to think of what would happen if they ever realized just how weak governments are, and how little there really is we can do against a mass uprising, be it violent revolution, or electronic subversion.
So my little citizen, keep your heresy spewing mouth shut, keep your eyes down, keep your thoughts depressed and scared, and don’t you dare give us any trouble.
~Your Loving Government

Highly appreciated post someguy. You are talking straight from my soul. Upvote and resteem. Any time again.
Great post of course. If anybody's wondering I can vouch for AnonSteem - completely legit I've used it. Worked fine, I just haven't used the second account much but it was set up quick and easy, and no "flags" from admins, etc.
Damn that read was intense. There's a lot of truth in it. But I also think that we as a civilization will grow through this. Same as when you code - you find a bug, you fix it then you find another and fix it etc etc.
Dear Sir,
I am looking for the developers responsible for steemit.com to ask them about the way i can report a bug or propose a change or upgrade.
if it is not open to discussion there is no problem but i just want to help .
Thank you for the post! You know, even Tor and other projects get caught in control from time to time
Appreciate your post @someguy123 tor can't be controlled by anyone . When I was in school days I used to hack Gmail's of classmates for fun at that time I came to know about Tor website . It's not just spying on the
citizenstaxpayers that's the problem. These unelected deep state agencies spy on the elected politicians and then blackmail them to get whatever laws they want passed or do their bidding in other ways. Thanks for the resource links. Privacy is an endangered species and people generally don't seem to care.

My buddy Bob Tuskin is a Truth Activist and opened my eyes to a lot of government corruption and control over or lives I was never aware of. This world is run by the top but technology is helping to free and awaken the masses.
and the government reading this saying "Oooppss! we're screwed!"
