Well played on the ingredients Sir! I can't wait to see the finished product.
If you cook it using your prepping gear or in some other creative manner you will get a higher score.
The organic mushrooms in a can might be hard to find but I am sure I have seen them. They will probably be pricey though.
All certified organic food is frigging pricey! Its some crazy stuff that a farmer who uses no pesticides or conventional methods has higher cost than a farmer who has to buy his seed from a multinational company and buy herbicides and pesticides?
It has to change over time, after more farmers get it. When we first converted to 100 % organic diet our grocery bill tripled.
We have been growing everything and raising our chickens beyond organic and I don't see the big difference in labor. But the cost of natural pesticides and feed for the animals is astronomical. When we sell a dozen eggs for 6 dollars we only cover the cost of feed.
The biggest win factor is we almost never get sick. The last time we all got sick is when we bought a bunch of conventional food in trying to prep our bodies to live in a 3rd world country for 6 weeks. We all got sick with in two days and it was not fun. We decided right then we had to be careful what we eat overseas and try to stay away from heavy pesticide laden GMO food like substances. No corn, wheat, rice, strawberries or soy products that are not certified organic. I am sure the list will be bigger on that but we are trying to figure out how to live overseas where there might not be an organic program.
I don't think I have noticed something as obvious as that. But usually if I get sick and think about it I was eating a bunch of crap for a few days before. There is definitely some sort of link there.
