Well, by the time you read this, Liverpool has ended Man City's unbeaten run in the Premier League.
I have always maintained that Pep Guardiola is tactically overrated. In his last six games or so, City escaped defeat or won because their opponents were either scared of them or lacked quality in their final third to nail the Citizens.
Pep knows only one thing: attack. He doesn't know how to set his team to defend, and that, to me, is a tactical deficiency. A complete manager balances his team.
Pep's men conceded as early as the 9th minute when the Ox drove home a low shot. And in the second half, the Kop erupted thrice as the Reds hit three goals in 9 minutes through Firmino(59'), Mane (61') and Salah(68').
Liverpool had their own share of shambolic defending by letting in three goals. Theirs is the case of not having top defensive talents to marshal their back. I'm not making excuses.
The match proves one thing: City will crumble when faced with opponents that are clinical and not afraid of taking their chances. This leaves us with the question: is Pep the big thing? For me, it's an absolute no!
Guardiola is a manager who thrives on the individual ability of his players to win games. He is not the kind of manager that can pull a Claudio Reneiri with a less fancied side, say, Leicester.
Pep is a fraud, and Klopp just proved it.🙌

Klopp is amazing, he's making a Manchester City battered defense, it's a very entertaining match. English league is great...
He has managed to build an almost unstoppable attacking force. Genius.
Can't comment about Pep. But Klopp has always proved that money is not the only thing in football whether it be at Mainz, Dortmund and now Liverpool.
Yeah. Klopp is a genius!
Well said brother. YNWA💯💯
Thanks for reading, man. I dey follow you now. Do follow back, eh? 😂
