I used to porridge for breakfast and then would get peckish. Lately I have been soaking the oats in (oat, rice or soya) milk with raisins and crystalised ginger for an hour or two and then eating it (without cooking it), sometimes adding a chopped banana. I find I don't get hungry as quickly (presumably because the oats keep expanding in my stomach.

I find that too, after an hour or so I'm hungry again, so then I have eggs and toast. Thanks for the comment
