I like to keep my Voting Power (VP) between 100% and 90%, right now it's about 87% (as of this writing). I'm trying to recharge.
Feel free to check my power at https://steemnow.com/ . My standard upvote for a post is 15%, and standard comment upvote is 5%. I usually upvote my own comments at 1% (some of them).
If my VP falls below 90% then I'm not going to want to vote.

I like to drain my power to almost zero and then watch go all the way back up to 100% then back down again, yeah haa!!
yea, I don't want to wait five days to get power back up.
I remember on my first days voting a lot on posts, not even looking at my VP, and once I understand how this works, it took me so much to recharge, I tried not to vote, so I missed a lot of good posts to upvote. It may not be that much at the moment with a vote at 0.1, but I try to keep thing clean from the beginning in order to grow.
Asking for votes? U just keep giving them, no asking needed ^.^ (no complaints here :D)

I have never asked anyone for upvotes but I think that 87% is not low. This is just my opinion!

I would not have the courage to ask for a vote, but if I had to, I would borrow only SP, asking for a vote is too much.
i do vote for vote, same money, if u vote me 1buck i will vote u back 1buck. Im down to 40cent now so im out.

Take all the time you need to recharge. It doesn't matter if you do upvote or not. Just keep the bank running and keep spreading love and positivity.

I think the ideal is to keep above 80%. In my opinion it's more complicated to keep above 90%, because we work during the day :D

Correct me if I am wrong @neoxian but does author rewards for these posts that refuse payout go to into "null"...effectively burning steem supply? Or does the individual upvoting just not have their upvote returned?
