THE POWER OF YOU, STEEMIT AND ALL OF US

Up until a few days ago, I had no idea Steemit existed. I guess there is so much to learn about this community. The more I learn the more questions that come to mind:
Could this be the answer to my problems? (More on this later)
Could this be a fraud?

Will I and the whole community be investing or wasting time and wisdom?
I guess we can’t predict the future but, “What If” ?

A couple of years ago I suffered a stroke and it coincided with my father’s death and also my husband leaving us (my four kids and I) and taking our savings with him.

At first I just wanted to cry and sleep. But, that was a luxury I could not afford. My kids needed me more than ever. So, with the help of my family, a set on a journey to find relief and alternatives, as I could not afford a proper treatment.

I was desperate to get back to work but, I could not recall any of my formal education or training. It was devastating not being able to help my youngest son who was in second grade at the time with his math homework. (I hold an MBA with major in International Finance!).

Adversities can break you or make you stronger:
It’s been a couple of years since our world was turned upside down but, I’m very grateful for the fact that I can now talk, walk, read and even write these lines. I can also help my kids with most of their homework!

I’m learning so much about ‘self-help’ and I would love to share it with the Steemit community. I hope to receive responses from fellow Steemers that will help us all in the journey of ‘life-long-learning’.

As you probably already know, they say that necessity is the mother of invention. Well, I am very creative when it comes to cooking and saving the day! Most of my future posts will probably be about self-help topics but, every now and then, I might share with you some of my favourite recipes. (I might even start with some delicious ideas on how to create affordable food treats for Christmas).

My last point for this post:
I’ve heard some people say that Steemit can help you gain financial rewards. I’ve even heard some people say that Steemit can make you famous. And I say that if the only thing we take home from the Steemit experience is the fact that we had the opportunity to grow, share and help others, doesn’t it feel like we are all stronger and more powerful?
