During the month of being quiet on Steemit, I have come across a few hidden gems in the crypto space that, in my mind, are sure to be great investments in the coming months and year in 2018.
Populous Platform Token - The hidden Gem.

Holding these tokens makes you money
Populous and PPT tokens will be an: income producing / revenue stream / passive income token. When the platform is live and the invoice factoring service is online (from early 2018), whatever the value of each PPT Token is, you will be able to get interest payments for holding. Similar to Proof of Stake coins but the % gain will be larger than POS currencies. The Alpha platform and recent talks indicate that 2-4% per month is realistic.
There are currently only a handful of tokens on Coinmarketcap that can be used. For most tokens, we are mostly looking forward to using it. PPT token holders have a good idea of how the tokens can be used and the tokens are absolutely integral to platform. This is unlike some businesses releasing tokens for something like profit sharing, which makes the tokens actually useless because it has no use-case. Even if they have a use-case, most tokens are not integral to the platform or business model they have. PPT is truly special with this characteristic as well.
Exciting times
The Populous Platform has been progressing well through their roadmap towards a fully functional product. Next on the map is the open Beta launch which we expect to be in November 2017.
The platform that will make us money
The product will be a platform where businesses can have their invoices paid to improve cash flow. It is called invoice factoring, similar to invoice financing. PPT token holders can buy invoices that businesses list on the platform and receive an interest for providing this service. PPT holders are acting as the bank, and clients will be businesses wanting to have their invoices paid for ASAP.
Good business to put on the blockchain
To the moon, Yes!

Decentralisation of the invoice financing/factoring business has been made possible with blockchain tech and this is expected to be a growing industry on the blockchain and in crypto.
There is reason behind why it is currently still undervalued
Populous has a small and pretty secretive team. This was due to unnecessary criticism and plagiarism of the work. Hence, the source code has been taken off GitHub and is being developed inhouse until the platform is released, post Beta. Not revealing the source code prevents it from being easily listed on large exchanges like Bittrex for now. The CEO, Steve Nico Williams (https://www.linkedin.com/in/steve-nico-williams/) and team are mostly concentrating efforts on finishing a tested and polished product whilst putting a lot of energy into Business Development. This was Steve's main competitive advantage, in that he has been working at extracting data about businesses that will need or will benefit from invoice factoring. The team's aim is to have a lot of businesses selling their invoices on the platform from when it goes online, as a live product/platform.
The investment that keeps on giving
The Populous team have announced that a new revenue stream has been introduced, furthering the power of the income producing token, PPT. The announcement from their Slack channel, was that PPT holders will be receiving a new token as an airdrop. We are waiting for confirmation on what record date will be used to distribute the XBRL Token. Exciting nevertheless.

How to invest? Short term? One week? One month? How long to hold?
Populous Platform Tokens (PPT) are an income producing coin. The price of the tokens will go up when the platform finishes the Beta stage, becomes live and the marketing drive will help increase the value at that time. However, the value of the tokens should surge ahead from that time. I would hold for 6 months and re-evaluate.
I checked out their Alpha platform, and a member of their Slack channel , the PPT forum on bitcointalk.org and follow developments and updates from the Populous team on a regular basis.

Excellent write up. I just added to my PPT stack. Once this hits larger markets and the Public Beta gets released we may see a 10x price movement before the end of the year.
Cheers mottor64. I wish I could afford to keep scooping up more at these prices. PPT is actually an industry disrupting business with most of the team's efforts currently going into business development. Public Beta is going to be a huge wakeup call.

Thanks johnny00. I have been watching PPT for a couple of months now, first with suspicion and now with incredible faith.
Currency coins are functional at the moment, but nearly all tokens still have no use. If the PPT utility token becomes functional with the public beta and release, Populous will be the best utility token on coinmarketcap. Hopefully the public beta starts in November and the platform releases early next year at the latest.
