Hey guys, just a short little shitpost / poll asking the communities opinion on if HiveSigner needs to be implemented into the Hive.Loans site or if folks wouldn't be pissed if I got rid of it and directed mobile users towards using the new Hive Keychain mobile app?
Are you Yay or Nay for HiveSigner being removed as a verification method in light of Hive Keychain now being supported on mobile or should I keep it in there and finish that method off to deal with legacy or potato level hardware users? On the fence about it and would love some feedback.

HiveSigner is still the only option to authenticate users on mobile.
Keychain Mobile is not ready yet and is just a "wallet" app at the moment.
I would make HiveSigner available for nowtm

I'll be honest with you I still always use keychain. Just because that's the first one I setup and haven't had any issues with it.
Yeah.. I use keychain almost exclusively now too and was only adding Hivesigner because I didn't know mobile Hive Keychain was a thing till earlier.. It's more whorish to implement and also having to take a user off site to very things is kind of a draw back.

When I'm not on my personal computer, I tend to log in via HiveSigner. But, I wouldn't mind if Keychain is the only thing available.
I'm thinking once the Keychain mobile stuff matures a bit it'll dominate the market as far as signing and permissions on HIVE.

I almost exclusively use mobile and have only been able to use keychain through HiveWallet. Although I like keychain much better, it’s good to have that fallback. I’d leave the Hivesigner option, at least for now.

I think now that a Hive Keychain on mobile is in the wild though most will migrate to that eh?
Hivesigner kind of sucks to implement but if there is enough of a rumble to keep it I'll maybe implement it as a backup or something..?
I just downloaded the app, imported my keys and it’s nothing more than a wallet. I tried to log into hive-engine and rising star and neither worked at all.

As far as I know it's still an alpha and needs to have sites setup to trigger it. I still need to look into it more.

I highly dislike installing browser extensions or mobile apps, unless absolutely necessary. It clogs up the whole system. So for this reason (which I think is shared by many others also) I prefer to use HiveSigner. Nothing to install, just use.
Yea keep Hivesigner, it is the only thing that works on my iphone. The more options the better now for the launch! 🚀
