" 33 year old Robert Johnson was not just unarmed & non-violent, he never committed a crime. They literally gave him a ticket after knocking him out. They never mentioned the assault in their official report (completing false reports on the incident) which is a crime. It was only because of the video that they got busted.
Robert Johnson was there to help a friend move out after a bad breakup. Shortly before midnight on May 23rd,. His friend and the friends ex got into an argument and police were called. Robert was not involved in the altercation, but police wanted to pat him down anyway for “officer safety”. NOTE: WE ARE STILL ON THE LOOKOUT FOR OFFICER SAFETY AND WANT HIS BADGE NUMBER.
Apparently, Robert did not sit down when ordered to. (he was not suspect of any crime, and had already been searched) So cops beat the crap out of him and knocked him out cold. This not being enough, when Robert woke up, they ticketed him for disorderly conduct, and hindering police.
As a reward for their heroics, Mesa Police Chief Ramon Batista, has given the Sergeant and 3 officers involved, a paid vacation. It is not known if they are going to Hawaii, or Cabo San Lucas for that vacation."
