I would say they shelter those issues differently. I would also say those are "Feelings" I feel better than you for this reason... (you're a different color, gender or sexuality) Feelings can not be Legislated. There are other ways to work on those problems other than a broken political process. Thank you for bringing it up though, I am happy you are considering those issues.
