You say you "took a swing at both sides", but all you really did was include your own pro-immigration message and call those that disagree with it names. Your whole statement is virtue signalling that you approve of immigration and anyone that doesn't is (insert childish name here).
If you immediately have to resort to namecalling to argue your point, and can't imagine winning a debate without using the words bigot or racist, it just shows the weakness of your argument.
