Nations size have greater influence in economic development, foreign policy and defence issues.
Therefore it is adversely advisable that systems be put in place for proper administration and policy making. As we know quite well, a system is an organized body of interrelated parts working together for the benefit of an entire structure.
David Easton, sees a system as the body involved in the authoritative allocation of power. Authoritative allocation simply put, means political positions are endowed with power to distribute value(public policy).
Easton puts politics in input and output format...
Input signifies articulated interest and output means governments reply to these demands.
It's intriguing that the simplicity of this approach means politics could really be transparent and easy flowing as imagined.
