"Left" or "right"?

What do people mean when they believe and refer to themselves as to be "left" or "right"?

Those who believe themselves to be "directions" visualize themselves to be standing on the left side of their king or the right side of their king. Their king is also a bird creature with wings, so that the conceptualizers can call themselves left wing and right wing.
Despite the seemingly easy duality of the imagined concept, it isn't as two sided as it appears. The concept varies greatly from state to state, and those on the extreme right and extreme left overlap, showing the meaninglessness of the geographical directional referencing within this concept.

The systems design behind the state means that only two pressure functions can exist; change or don't change. The state will always resist change whether standing on the right side of the king or the left side of the king.

In essence when people refer and believe themselves to be "left" or "right" it is the same fundamental mechanisms at work as when people believe and refer to themselves as being a fan of a club in an "us versus them" diatribe. The football fans have the same effects on the games as the voters on the political games. They keep the show going by keeping the capital flowing, and spectating; feeding the attention economic aspect.

So what do people mean when they believe and refer to themselves as to be "left" or "right"?
Is it like wearing a badge that says something and you feel a great self entitlement and superiority to be part of the Luis Van Burthon club? Or do believers commit to "left" or "right" action? And if so how can a state find harmony when those on the left of the king and those on the right of the king despise each others' views with such vehemence?
In the 21st century when we want to go forward, can we really accept "left" or "right"?

And I look at the duck pond, the sheep herd and think to myself. This is not right. In the right/wrong aspect of the word right. Even words have no meaning anymore.

Destroy! Improve! Persist!

I'm all about the Groundhog, and being in the shadow or out of the shadow.

The terms 'Left Wing' and 'Right Wing' in a political sense anyway come from the French Revolution. In the National Assembly conservatives and Royalists sat on the right while the revolutionaries sat on the left (Jacobins)

This post is not so long yet holds a very long essence in meaning and justification. I had never really thought about it like this before and this is more like a brain opener for me.

It's funny how the state is always against change, whether right or left, it doesn't matter, and quite frankly the realization of this reality is scary. This is because one would begin to wonder, are some things meant to be like this or that? How do we come to a conclusion which side we want to belong? Must there be a left or right? Can't we have just one line? In every right, there is a left and in every left, there is a right... so which side is the left or right really? It's seems as though our entire lives are centered around picking a side. Is there really a right side?
@riskdebonair you just gave me a new perspective to life yo!

I really like this post

I think both are necessary in our life...sometimes we are in indecision.... but both are important..

Dude! I never thought about it so generally before. The regional differential idea makes so much sense.

Good one!

Left and right
everybody up.

follow the path you feel happy to no left no right
