It's a beautiful morning.
The dust is starting to settle from the US election and yet some individuals refuse to accept it, which they can do, however to riot is a great disservice to the sanctity of the democratic process.
Stories are arising of supposed increases in racism and violence against minorities. A major example of this is a video of students holding a trump sign and supposedly chanting white power: https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/nation/2016/11/10/watch-high-school-students-holding-trump-sign-yell-white-power/PdBHZlaRx4VkpdcXZwjX0J/story.html. I must say that I'm skeptical of this as if there was such a thing happening, why weren't multiple students recording it and why is does the person saying "white power" sound so close to the phone mic when the students holding the sign are so far away. So far we can confirm one individual said white power, no chanting in this 3 seconds, and that students were proudly expressing their support for Trump. I wouldn't be surprised if the one filming is just trying to frame the trump supporters.(conservative bias, I know)
Meanwhile in the camp of rationalists, a video of a man being beaten by people who believe he supported Trump is making many's blood boil: http://chicago.suntimes.com/news/police-investigate-video-of-man-beaten-up-for-voting-for-trump/. This is a much longer video and regardless of whether or not this man voted for Trump, what has happened to him is undeniably disgusting.
So what should you do with this information? You should be careful out there and tell your loved ones to be careful if they are outspoken about their political beliefs. Political discourse has been trampled on the US.
Thank you.
