The article on salon contains some real information. You may not like it, you may not be interested in him and how a life like this looks from the inside, but others certainly do because they like to make informed decisions before they form their opinion): I don't put myself in the position to deny others the right to live. Violating that basic right would make me worse than the perpetrator, and I would have to keep living with it. And I'm glad the civilized world realized that and abolished death penalties.
