We have all watched or read about the weird laws enforced in North Korea. The country is enveloped with mystery and the outside world does not know much about it. Few crazy laws like following their own Juched calendar ,only one candidate on the ballot for elections, acclaimed 99% literacy rate, no electricity, internet and private vehicle access to the majority, infamous concentration camp are well heard of. I have jotted down some more information which will only add to the weirdness:
Relaxed laws on consumption of weed
Visitors have reported that North Korea has a liberal policy on weed. It is often sold openly in a market and can be smoked outside.
Kim Jong-Un banned choco pies
Choco pies were banned in 2014 as Kim Jong-Un feared that its growing popularity with the masses could cause an uprising. South Korea once launched 50 balloons full of choco pies in North Korea.
The constitution of North Korea says" Citizens are guaranteed freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, demonstration and association."

2nd Happiest country in the world
In 2011 the North Korean researchers concluded that North Korea is the second happiest country after China.
North Korea’s own computer OS
There is no Windows or Mac OS in North Korea. The computers run on Red Star OS which is a state-made operating system.
World’s largest stadium
It has the world’s largest stadium : Rungnado May Day stadium with a capacity of more than 150,000 seats.
The most popular attraction is visiting Kim Jong-il’s body
Kim Jong-Il’s body in a glass tomb is the most popular attraction in the country. Even tourists from other countries can pay a visit if they wish to.
Fourth-largest army in the world
It has approx. 1,190 million people in its military making it the fourth largest in the world.
Human faeces is used as a fertilizer
Due to lack of chemical fertilizer it is compulsory for citizens to provide their faeces as a substitute.
28 state approved haircuts
Men and women are required to have only the state approved haircut, 18 for women and 10 for men
The world’s only necrocracy
It is the only country in the world that still operates under the rules of a former, dead leader, Kim II-Sung who died 23 years ago.

Intriguing stuff ... I wonder how well that Red Star OS runs?!? ;D ... Like perhaps it defaults to camera/mic always on feeding to central bureau of information equivalent?! Just a thought - stay vigilant people!!
