Since October 2017 under the parliament of Ukraine, massive protest actions have been held. People are protesting against the corrupt policies of the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. Poroshenko took control of almost all government agencies and organizations. In particular, he controls the majority in the Parliament of Ukraine called Verkhovna Rada. Also, Poroshenko is accused of cooperation with Russia and that he benefits from the war in the east of Ukraine.

Verkhovna Rada just recently passed a decision to fire Yehor Sobolev, Member of the Parliament from the Samopomich Association faction from the position of the Rada’s Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction. The decision was backed by 256 parliamentary members.
In particular, from the Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc 108 MPs backed the decision, from the People’s Front – 65 MPs, from the Opposition Bloc - 32 MPs, from the Radical Party - 15 MPs, from the Vidrodzhennia - 17 MPs and from the Will of People - 13 MPs.
Yehor Sobolev: "The plan is to compromise the independence of the Anticorruption Bureau (NABU), the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SACPO) and to create a fake Anticorruption Court or not to create it at all, and to close from the public electronic records about the property of the top Ukrainian officials". NABU is the only agency that is still trying to resist the corruption of Petro Poroshenko.
