Why must harm be "compared" to anything?

In my view, being taught things that are verifiably false, not being afforded privacy, or the opportunity to pursue one's natural academic interests freely, or engage with the community during daytime hours is extremely harmful to a child's development.

If you need a comparison, compare the nature of the psychological, emotional, and critical faculties of a kid from say, Summerhill School, or an unschooled child, to those of one that has gone through the standard system.

I don't see why this is something to laugh at... But oh well.

Why must harm be "compared" to anything?

I don't know. Because it does not male sense to put someone who stole a bubblegum to the same sentence then someone who murdered a group of school children?

I don't know what Summerhill School is, but I know what a child is, that has not even learned basic things or worse has been taught by homeschooling parents that the world is flat, the government sprays chemtrails and Hillary is a dinosaurier from Magellan.
