Great content and sources! I feel like you're trying to invoke the thought of being " stuck in the middle with you, jokers to my left and clowns to my right." That wasn't best friend and i's favorite song from high school about 12 years ago. We see it and have for a long time. Our issue is this: we are trying to start families and establish an existence in this world that is better than the rural poverty we grew up in and see it as why is it our problem as the youngest working adult class to fix the problems or revolute for the government to offer the solution we know they already have and will force down our throats regardless. Can we just cut the bs and say here's what you get, we won't throw a fit here in the southern states because being placed on the back burners of society is commonplace it's expected.
