12 mile beach- being robbed!
This absolutely perfect 12 mile stretch of beach, along with the rest of this small Caribbean island is being stolen from its people by the antiguan government. This island is a communal property island that was given, after slavery ended; back to the natives. The land has passed down generations and every transfer of property or building built must have a 51% yes vote.
After hurricane Irma their has been a delema that the antiguan government has been so kind as to come up with a solution. Make all the land titled and freehold so the people can get loans to rebuild. 🤔 this way these peole who survive on basically no money can rebuild a nice spot only to have it forclosed on 6 months later. At that time the bank will simply sell it to foreign investors.
This is modern day robbery of land from a indigenous people who simply want to be left alone.
That's ludicrous! Maybe there IS something useful the U.N. could actually do for once....? They should file a complaint with the International Court of Justice in The Hague too.
