While I, too, cringe at far right evangelism, one must tread carefully in order to question the statement made by Earhardt without quesitoning the validity of faith itself. If a die-hard Christian makes an individual and independant statement that he would rather confront death while at worship than in a hospital surrounded by strangers, I would be the last to question his or her beliefs and wishes. I would assume their reasoning to be on a par with an elderly person who wishes to "remain at home" rather than spend their final days in a nursing facility.
