precisely so why do you think arbitrarily giving masses of people the control of other people's money by the barrel of a gun will transform them into angels working in the public interest? You are assuming people to be angels when they work for government bu that simply has not proven to be the case. Even Saul Alinsky emphasized the importance of proposing action to others in the language of their particular self interest. I suggest if you further examined your assumptions you might come to the conlclusion that government for the most part if not entirely leads to lower aggregate utility than anarchy with a strong self perpetuating culture of the non aggression principle and definitely a lower amount of aggregate utility than a well structured minarchy that guarantees protection of basic rights and just propery acrquisition as discussed by Robert Nozick in "Anarchy, State and Utopia."
