An AK-47, Two Backpacks and a GoPro... 2nd Trump Assassination Attempt

in #politics3 days ago (edited)

Ryan Wesley Routh

Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, is the latest member of the club of people targeting presidential candidate Donald Trump. With a GoPro action camera attached to the fence of his snipers nest in the bushes at the Trump golf course, this nutjob was poised to actually film his assassination attempt.

Thankfully he was discovered and pointed out before he could act, unlike the last rooftop shooter just a few months ago.

My question is WHY?

With Trump having lost the debate with Harris, you'd think his enemies would be riding high and enjoying the run to her expected re-election in November. But Trump seems to have people popping up out of everywhere seemingly worried that even AFTER his debate performance, he still might you know, actually have a chance to WIN this election.

So the need to take him out before then??

Never mind the potential division that would unleash across the country should they (God forbid) actually be successful in that quest...

But now after this SECOND attempt when Harris should be coasting to victory, this is sure to generate yet ANOTHER wave of sympathy for Trump which is exactly what the Harris team doesn't need 50 days out from election day.

Despite the debate results, this election will be close and will be decided by several swing states, chief among them is my state of Pennsylvania. So something like this which pulls focus from the Harris "vibe" campaign, is the last thing she needs heading into the final stretch.

This election will be decided by thousands of votes in each of the swing states. Trump voters will be even MORE motivated now to register and come out for their man then ever before...

The attempted assassin Ryan Wesley Routh, appears flustered in the video below as the leader of a foreign fighters group operating in the Ukraine in 2023 (at te 2:55 mark). He complains that the Ukrainian military establishment was cautious about letting Afghan soldiers serve due to questions about their loyality. Watch:

Ryan's son Oran Routh, confirms that his dad hates Trump like 'all reasonable people' do, and that he doesn't like Trump either...

I had just woken up and was attacking some of the writing for other platforms (that I'm way behind on BTW, which is why you haven't seen me lately on Hive), when this popped up in my news feed.

My response was something like "You've got to be kidding! AGAIN?"

So I contact some of the MAGA people that I know here and of course they're completely fired up once again. Stuff like this actually ACTIVATES many of the MAGA crowd who hadn't intended to vote or who may had actually been willing to be sympathetic to hearing Harris out. But now they're pulling the lever for Donald Trump.

After the debate, I cautioned Harris supporters that her win would be at most, a two-week story, and then would be cycled out and replaced by something else. People forget quickly. There was not much talk about the last attempts against him just a few short months ago.

The other danger is that due to the endlessly positive and euphoric news coverage that Kamala Harris receives, it could cause voter apathy among her supporters of the kind that cost democract Michael Dukakis the presidency back in 1988.

You know, back when he foolishly poked his head out of a tank? in September 1988...

("The Duke") Michael Dukakis had a 17-point lead over Vice President George Bush, and was the recipiant of the same type of fawning press coverage that Harris has been receiving since she pushed Biden out. With a 17-point lead over Bush, many Dukakis supporters didn't bother to register to vote thinking he was guaranteed to win. So why bother registering and standing in the cold in November to vote for a man that had it all wrapped up, right?

Bush won in a landslide...

That's why I don't trust polls.

President Reagan and Lee Atwater

Trump could have used a Lee Atwater of his own. That man was absolutely ruthless and was willing to do anything to elect Republicans to political office.

He was so cruel as a political consultant, that shortly before he died of brain cancer in 1991 at the age of 40, Lee Atwater repented and apologized to Governer Dukakis for the dirty campaign he ran against him.

At a spry 90-years old, Michael Dukakis is very much alive and has learned the lessons from the mistakes he made in his 1988 campaign for president. Let's hope both sides take in those lessons as well.

Now, Kamala Harris is NO Michael Dukakis. She seems to have picked up those lessons and all of that was on display during the debate. However Pennsylvania is going to be close. This is a must-win state. I'm running into many harris supporters who are reveling in the euphoria of her "vibes" campaign, yet when I ask if they're REGISTERED TO VOTE, they tell me they plan to.

Right. They need to get on it if they want her to win. Pennsylvania will be THIS CLOSE. Every vote will count.

I hope this failed attempt is the last one, and that Trump can make it to election day in one piece. If they kill him, they just turn him into a martyr to his followers like JFK or MLK, and it would fuel even more the conspiracies that the "elites" don't want him in power again because he's his own man and they can't control them.

Hearing from these MAGA people I'm afraid for my country and what might happen if anything happens to Donald Trump. Let's pray it never comes to that and thankfully this attempted assassin was stopped and caught (alive this time) before he could complete his mission. Let's all get to election day together in peace.

Hey there. I was wondering where you have been lately. Glad to hear from you.

I am not a Trump supporter, but in no way would want something like this to happen to him or anyone else. We are getting so fucked as a society.

Thanks for stopping by. I have almost 80 articles to write under a deadline, and if I spend too much time here, I fall behind elsewhere (where I'm much more rewarded than I am here), so I tick-tock back and forth.

I'm an undecided voter here in Pennsylvania. Shooting at Trump is foolish when Harris is basking in the success of her debate performance. I just hope we can all make it to election day in peace.

Well, I do hope you make your deadline. 80 articles is a lot for sure, but imagine you can do it.

Agreed, I do hope we all get through the election quickly. I am about tired of the hatefulness.

Stay safe and sane friend.
