Thank you for the great article! I have never been to Venezuela myself but I believe that the situation might be similar with the situation in post soviet countries in Eastern and Central Europe. The leaders here are populists and they are only interested in their own wealth and nothing else. People have to survive with minimal loan that doesn't cover basic needs, the taxes are high and we don't see anything back. Nowadays there is a visible dissatisfaction among younger generation. I am from Slovakia and 2 months ago one of our journalist and his fiance have been killed. The motive seems to be political as he was working on connection of Slovak politics with Italian mafia. This has started a wave of protests against the government and I hope that we will see some changes soon. I keep being optimistic :)
