So, We Thought 2018 was Going to be Okay

Then this happened.

And suddenly 2018 went from being mildly off to a weird start to going full chaos. Suddenly Steve Bannon and Donald Trump were at war, and politics were in more of a tailspin than they had been in 2017.

Somehow.

The Best Summary

Someone linked that yesterday (a much larger quality that Steemit's not liking), but that sort of sums up how pretty much things should be left to play out. And a lot of DC is basically sitting back and letting that happen - though everyone was apparently talking about this morning.

It Kind of Looks Ridiculous

I sort of cringed watching that video, finding out that important issues like Iran, the Korean meeting, and more were just sidetracked by all of this. The US looks rather childish, because our president looks terrible by his response over this.

Last night, Cenk of the Young Turks made a really good point - he could have just called Steve Bannon and had him come out in joint statements about how all of this was just "fake news", but he didn't. He came out like a child - which is even an insult to children - and had a tantrum, shouted names, and made threats...which only made it all worse.

The "damage control" made things much, much worse.

It certainly made my migraine worse.
