I know what I am about to say seems incredibly unrealistic and will never happen in the United States but it is for sure an interesting thought.
So I was driving around NYC listening to talk radio and I like to flip back and forth between a liberal station and then a conservative station. This is how I do it because both stations are usually so biased. I like to listen to both and then find a spot in the middle which is usually the truth.
In doing so I noticed that a lot of the issues the two stations were kind of In agreement with each other. Now, last election cycle we heard well if you vote anything other than the two main candidates you are throwing away your vote.
My idea is pretty radical and I don't think it will happen, but what if we just elected people to office as candidates not belonging to a party but because of the message they bring. What if there was no republican or democratic organizations. I think we would see more options to vote for on Election Day and maybe we wouldn't get stuck with the choice of a giant deuch and a tied sandwich.
What are your thoughts of that, getting rid of the two parties and just let the message come across as individuals not as a member of a party? Feel free to comment resteem and vote for me. If you should be so kind as to follow me let me know. I will follow you as well and check out your feed
