The plan is to first occupy the south of Ukraine in order to ensure the supply of Crimea and cut off Ukraine from the sea, and thus from supplies. Russia then plans to use landing ships to transport tanks and troops from Crimea to the suburbs of Odessa.
Ukraine will probably not be able to withstand Russia's full-scale invasion. The Ukrainian armed forces, if not completely destroyed, will withdraw to the west of the country.
