So my main reason for joining steemit was because I liked the concept behind a decentralized social media where intelligent conversations can occur. This news feed today on FB has more than confirmed that Steemit is going to overtake Facebook soon... hopefully the same way Facebook did Myspace.
Literally the top stories had so much hate spewed towards the US President... while this may be "trending" they have very minimal posts and feeds to make this seem like such a hot topic. Makes me think that someone on facebook is pushing an agenda... Regardless of your political affiliations or who you think is right and wrong... look at the number of "people talking about this" on these stories, then compare that to the people talking about actual stories of merit such as scientific breakthroughs with Elon Musk, cryptocurrency's great progression in society or other contributions to growing as a human race... no they want us to focus in on the name calling, pit us against each other and create a divided forum where now they have more and more users attacking each other... This is also why I refuse to watch any news channel anymore, I can't wait until crypto pulls the rug out from under them and they no longer have us by a choke hold. Let the consumer decide what they want to watch, not the highest bidder...
