The nasty words we, the police, get called all the time have now turned into rocks, bottles and gunfire. It’s over, America: we are leaving.
This is the hardest thing I have written.
I grew up in a law enforcement family. My father worked his way up to the rank of Captain at the Fort Smith, Arkansas, Police Department. As a kid I remember going with him on Friday to pick up his check and I was in awe of these super heroes he worked around.
My dad sacrificed a lot and so did my late mother. Whether it was the week-long surveillance or wiretap or chasing drug runners across the country, he gave it all for my family and worked plenty of extra details to never let our family be without. Some would call that privilege but where I grew up, it was called hard work.
Well at least we will find some comfort in knowing old Travis won't starve on a commander's pension. One down and many more to go.

It's hard to fault someone with blinders on that never sees things outside their view, until you remember they put those blinders on.
It's impossible for me to believe that any cop that has been working more than a month could honestly say they have never witnessed corruption or brutality. I saw it as a kid. On an island in Alaska.
I don't believe this statement is honest.
I'll add that before 1900 there were few cops in America, and far fewer crimes. Mogadishu is not what America was before cops, and unless the UN drops troops here, it is not what will happen anywhere in America.
We'll handle our business like we did before we were afflicted with mercenaries and constant efforts to disarm us began.
I reckon all cops in the West should get honest jobs, instead of extorting civilians for corrupt polities.
Thanks!

There are many "good" policemen out there. The problem is that they are brainwashed. Why do you work for the government, the state? Don't you get it? If you really like your job, go and find a private security company. There are many out there. That way you can continue helping the people and you can be proud of it. Who do you think you're protecting when you work for the government? For sure, not the people but the state. And stop crying about it!
The killing of Floyd in front of camera was plan by the people behind this protest. So stop right there you are being used by white people who have a self interest for something else.
Policing turned into a business to mostly extort money from the people via silly rules/laws put into place by the corporate government overlords. Now they wonder why not many people like them anymore. Before this shift in policing happened they did have respect from us.
We would like to take this time to congratulate drugs on winning the war for drugs.
All hail, freedom!
We also want to thank all those that risked their lives in the streets to end violent domination by armed thugs across the world.
We will win the war on rule by force.
We will have freedom
But only when each of us learns to pushback.
Stop being their best cop, eh?
