Pokémon Go Addiction Counseling

in #pokemon8 years ago (edited)

This post is to be dedicated to all of those who have or are recovering from a  Pokémon Go addiction.

I myself am a recovering addict and I have cut down my usage to only 3 hours per day.  I know this may seem like a lot of time but just a few days ago I was on a deranged 48 hour binge that was spiraling out of control.  During this binge I ran over curbs with my car, lost friends, stopped eating and started to run around foaming at the mouth in between catches.

I am now happy to share to the steemit community that I am almost fully recovered and almost level 17.  Feel free to share your own struggles with overcoming  Pokémon Go addiction. :D

I run in the mornings, walks at nights, it's going to be Nintendo responsible for getting me in shape.

As I travel to work I see people walking alongside the road with their phones out in groups, even in grocery stores, shopping malls, there are people everywhere catching pokemon. I believe this game has created a phenomenon. Yet I managed to only spend an hour or so playing Pokemon Go, but I feel the addiction might be around the corner... or is that a Haunter? Oh god

It will be Nintendo's fault when kids sneak out of the house at night to play and get ran over by a car.
