We are One

As one body,
As a body which needs a soul to survive,
We are gattered together.
In pretense, we agree to be united.
In reality, we've allowed tribalism rule our hearts,
Discrimination has become our watch word,
"They are not from our tribe", we often say.
This phrase has for a long time defined our actions and decisions.
Infront of each other we smile as if we're delighted,
But as soon as we're out of reach we scheme the gayest way to bring each other down.
Why?
Because we're not from the same ethnic group. We call ourselves "brothers",
But our actions betray us.
We gossip about our "brother",
We say really mean and untrue things about them,
But then we'll gather as if innocent,
We'll hold hands and sing praises to the Holy One.
Why deceive ourselves?
If you don't love your brother, then you don't love God.
Let's stop claiming that we love God when will still hold the world dear to our hearts.
Let's stop deceiving ourselves,
Let's do away with tribalism and nepotism,
Let's for once see ourselves as one people,
Created and made equal by one God.
