FRIENDS TO KEEP

How many friends do you have? Fifty, hundreds, thousand and more? and what do you call them? Friendship, parts, bay, bro, sis? Well, the number doesn’t matter as long as you enjoy the company.
As we go along with our lives, we meet new people. We get acquainted with them and build a friendship with them. Believe it or not, our friends are for different events. Friends during gimmicks and jamming time; friends during class and study hours; friends on church days; friends who catch us when we fall down and push us to the top; friends who wipe away the tears and replace smiles on our faces; and there are friends who are present in all those events.
There are also friends who are traitors (no offense). But your forgiveness and humility are the greatest things you can do for people like them. And you may start your life again with sincere friends who are still there. Few are real friends that can be kept forever.
We have the right to choose a friend. But be careful you might neglect them… because they might turn out your good friends, to whom you can cry and lean on. They might be the only ones whom you can keep for the rest of your life.
And watch out for those naughty acquaintances. As people say, “Our personality reflects the friends we have”. You get along well because you have something in common. May it be common for your hobbies, likes and dislikes, characters, and etc. As what the famous quotation says, “Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are”. In other words, a bad influence? In some sense. But, it’s up to us if we have let ourselves ride on to their trip. We are old enough and we have our decision to choose what music to dance to.
No matter whom our friends are, whether we know them by name, or have them since your childhood, or know them from school, and know them very well, keep them as long as you don’t hurt each other and the people around you. A friend or friends to treasure are those who want nothing but best for you.

Thank you for dropping by!
