What keeps me up at night
Maybe I had said...
Something that was wrong
I used these words
Put them in a song
You left me feeling like trash
I wish my memories of you would just turn to ash
I gave you my all
Just to receive no missed calls
All I wanted was your company
When I was empty
All I needed was your light
That shone form your smile so bright
I guess it's over now
There's nothing I can do
But I can't forget
All that's on my mind is you
I'm so sorry for the inconvenience
That was caused by my persistence
But you are to blame
For putting me in the spotlight
Making believe I was your fame
You are the demon that keeps me up at night

This poem should've been written a while ago but I didn't want to att the time. Today I was sitting and thinking and all these feelings suddenly rushed back to me...

The end of your post was funny.....it actually made me laugh! Good job. As for your poem, I know how past loves can come back to haunt you. In a way, it is a way for your mind to release things in spurts, like a pressure cooker where pressure has to be released gradually. Give it time.....eventually the most important thing is not to force yourself to forget but to gradually learn to forgive, so you can more forward. We all have a tendency to live in the past, but hurts really need to be healed by forgiving. I know in time, you'll come to terms with this and grow.

I dont even have time to sleep anymore... Im on the pillow for 1.2 seconds before I fall out for a guess a long nap rather then sleep.. If I get 5 hours its rare...

perhaps i am your exact opposite,
i sleep anywhere and everywhere,
i can't remember a time, when i couldn't fall asleep,
no matter what meanderings my brain dwells on,
when i retreat to my peaceful slumber,
i sleep with no worries
is that a blessing or curse, I wonder?
Perhaps we could meet in the middle ground,
the ones who can't sleep ~ your followers
and the ones who sleep a lot ~ my followers..
while you ponder and churn out beautiful poetry,
I hope we don't doze off in the comfort of your lullaby
