Walking with life.

I met her by the station
She found me when I was down, contemplating
She spoke in a soft voice
How can I help you from deteriorating?

In reply I said
There's nothing you can do
I'm already dead
In a mocking tone she called to me
Told me that everyone has problems
Come walk with me to that great big willow tree

I nodded and followed
Every step painted a picture on the pavement
Each one an old memory of my sorrow
She lifted up my chin and told me not to look
If I lingered on those images
It would be the last chapter in my book

I looked up to see
That the world was full of disaster
but hidden within all of this was a spot of glee
We continued on our path
She asked me about my past
I ignored her saying that all that remained were deep scars

We found our selves a spot in the shade
She sat down and beckoned me to do the same
She pointed up to an individual leaf
Said it was there for a purpose
Even though it was small and insignificant
It was there to make a difference

You are like this leaf
Even tho you might not see it
You are here for a reason
Embrace it

For the first time I tried to look over
At the women that had spoken to me
I was completely stunned
I was the only one under the tree...
