This captures the horror of that quake perfectly. I was in Kathmandu and luckily near an open field during the first hit. It took over a year for the aftershocks and tremors to stop properly. We still get aftershocks here and there but nowadays people are getting used to it.
The whole city was psychologically disturbed too. The fear of earthquake was so dominant that some people refused to get back into home even though it was already safe enough to stay inside.
Such was the plight of Kathmandu but the people affected out of the valley were in even worse conditions.
We're still recovering from the disaster. The recovery is slow but progressive.
