The internet is liberating us from mind based knowledge, which as our dire state illustrates is a hopelessly inadequate culture. Perhaps a more useful form of 'knowing' is being present to what 'is' in every given moment, all we need to 'know' is contained in the moment if we have the good sense(s) to notice.
If I understand you correctly then I agree. There is probably more knowledge online than anyone can ever get through in several lifetimes but it's just as important to explore our own lived moments and learn from them first hand.
