Did the fair mother morosely tell, hear y’all a splendid tale,
An old man sat on the artic pole, chills through the spine, cold biting through the bones,
He looked at the world through an all seeing eye, gazing through to Antarctic, clear line of sight,
Reminiscence of the past era bundled up on his eyes, waiting to fall like a tear drop from the sky;
It pained him now that the seasons changed; hit him hard that it was all horridly deranged,
The mother then bore the brunt of brazen summer, while heat waves whipped her incorrigible armor,
She endured and shriveled it all till the autumns came, then shed her skin and withered her tears away,
Then came the marching winters that veiled her with snow, she dented herself so that her sons laid low,
She shrunk and shivered when the frost took a bite, but cloaked her sons from the impending plight,
Safeguarding them against all ordeals, while she took up the fight;
Her patience paid as came the joys of spring, the first touch of rains and she can now rest from the sparing,
The ungrateful humans danced in showers of ignorance, continued their acts for which the mother lacked endurance,
Year after year they unknowingly assaulted her, made her weak to the point that it was more than just broken fiber,
The forgiving mother shrugged it off and paid no heed, tried her best to not let her sons fade away in fleets;
The ghosts of our sins haunt us come what may, and the innocent mother was the collateral that we had to pay,
This time she incessantly bled, we are all just plastic souls who are illiterately mislead,
The penchant old man didn’t want to drown, so he gallantly sat on the pole staring into the horizon,
Six months of darkness and six months of light, he put up with it for his fears were stronger than his will and might;
Finally the day came when the sun rose and it was warm, but the old man was out and the cold has done its harm,
The long summer lasted but he couldn’t feel it, for he was lost in eternal winter and the prison he built,
Do you take him for a fool cause his fear was strong, or do you realize that it is your heart that’s at wrong,
He was trying to atone for all the mistakes he has done, maybe a drop in the ocean but whatever damage undone.
