This is a photo poem, a collaboration between me and @raj808, more than a year ago. We've both posted about this poem extensively as it was an assignment by @sndbox, but I feel the poem deserves a dedicated post without all the 'other' words surrounding it. So here it is, for Showcase Sunday. Read more about the making of and thoughts behind the poem here (my post) and here (@raj808's post).
Nice montaje, and I love the '89 calendar. cheers!
Thanks @drlobes! I love these pictures, where it's clear time has passed by and affected the world around it <3
Great memory of a fantastic creative collaboration.
As I read this poem now, I realize just how effected I was by my grandmothers passing. I feel like it is one of my best poems I've written for steem, and the images were definitely a large part of what inspired those words :)
I wasn't going to post today as I'm feeling a bit off, but I might put a showcase Sunday post up now.
Thanks for the inspiration and the memories Rosa :)
Although it's certainly influenced by your grandmothers passing, it's also a poem that stands the test of time - I find it very beautiful 14 months later :-)
I think that's a nice part of art, we will put our emotions in it, and look back at it later with a new perspective, remembering how we looked at the world 'back then'.
Spot on! I often feel this way re-reading poems I've written, it can be like a moment of frozen time. It takes me straight back to where I was at the time emotionally, and in retrospect, new perspective can be gained :)
And thank you for your inspiration as well <3 Hope you'll feel better soon.
No worries. I'm feeling a little better after I got up of the couch and did a showcase sunday post of my own... ha ha, it made me feel like I'd got something done today ;-)
Its possess sense, of washed sorrows been reborn by emotions.
All emotions still and always spark but undisputed challenges. Not forgetting how spontaneous this pictures poems where written.
Much love 💚 @soyrosa
