Rustling Leaves

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

This is a poem put together based off a theme in my upcoming book. It is accented by Olympia Paint colors for fun, and textured by the lore of the book.

Rustling Leaves

In the Mountain Green, she will deftly stride
O’er reeling White Smoke of the Misty Moor

With each step, boots give way to Quaking Grass
Her Tenderness balance a Gracious Glow

Come Midnight Hour, the stars will Envy
Her eyes reflecting Magical Stardust

By the Predawn air, at the Herbal Mist
The Forest Floor is a Stone’s Throw away

She treads the Appalachian Trail with haste
For Magnolia Blossom and Pale Orchid

Though simple pleasure, a Cozy Cottage
With Fragrant Cloves, and a Cinnamon Twist

Her journey sees Casual Elegance
In beckoned books, she walks for Happy Trails
