"SALVATION"
. . . sobs and sober hopes
hop on amputated limbs
fall on ragged roads
sawed into crooked crates
crushed with cruel cranes
swept by twisted tongues
buried by bile words. . .
. . . crying in crisis
Christ's in guises
disguised as lepers
labelled by rebels
lampooned by liars
forced by officers
officials of ovations
capped with portfolios
portfolios of polio
. . . angels at angles
angling for antics
harassed by handlers
faced with fears
fears of facelessness
faceless without fees
feigning fainting
gunning for glory
yet writing no story
. . . bad bards
blabbing barbs
hurting hell
hunting hawks
hailing herdsmen
selling kinsmen
betraying blood
claiming clemency
yet biting boldly
. . . Jesus with scissors
mending my material
sent from saints
fit for the feat
gleaming for the glory
the glory of the story
. . . listen
you will glisten
if you hasten
to Him for cleansing
fasten
then
the belt
of faith. . .
the times are adamantine
the test aims for the taste
so
shun the clandestine
embrace the divine
. . . Muse's missing
Son goes into silence
until Muse returns
with the message:
Repent!

Hi @samueloption I really like this poem. I think it's fantastic how you use assonance within the verse structure. Have you read it out at a poetry performance yet? I think it would be great performance piece. Also, you may want to consider having a look at dsound and recording some of your poetry to share on steemit. The wordplay is also awesome in this poem:
The elegant simplicity of this line is great, playing on 'fasten your seat belt'. Really nice!
Thank you mentor @raj808, I am grateful.
