I was once a lost sinner
in the world and its cares
in the world and its passions,
under sin the bondage bound,
praise to God I now give thanks,
who by grace has redeemed me.
Praise Lord I am saved.
I was once condemned in sin,
but love my savior did show
on the cross he died for me,
from destruction he saved me,
rejoicing I am now
salvation work he has finished,
my burden of sins he did bear
There is power in the blood
Of the crucified Christ Jesus
To make me a saint, sure!
to heal my diseases, certain.
Come with faith in Jesus Christ,
all your sins he will forgive,
there is power in his blood.
Make no longer delay
my friends, no excuses give,
why you should not repent now,
when salvation your soul so desire.
when the trump of God shall sound,
you’ll regret and in hell weep .
Jesus Christ saves,
have you heard?
