Put them behind bars
They inflict our souls with scars
Baiting us with toffees
They put our souls in coffins
Take advantage of our respect for elders
Trap us in and choose to be malefactors
They clamp our mouths with curses
Scare our beings with diabolic verses
"You would die, should anybody hear this"
Who would even believe, you are just a kid
The gods absolve them innocent
After, they take advantage of our innocence
We are to remain silent
After being broken into fragments
Fragile and weak, our nature
They overpower, with their stature
Defile, rape and bruise our emotions for the future
Yet, they are freed, "sake of" culture
Is this actually happening in Ghana
Have we left our laws to the gods
Dried our human rights with the excess sunlight
Or rape has lost its license of being a crime
And has to be battled on at the shrine
Save the girls
Preserve tomorrow's ladies
Let justice sing, and culprits dance to its melodies
Good poetry absolutely amazing heritage
Thank you dear
