Love portion

Dearly beloved,
God is love and love is perfect.
To you:
I love you and I promise: we won't be perfect or great but we have each other and that is great.
So, yes, I feel loved by those words and super excited that someone other than family loves me but I don't feel good about it. I over think it again and again, there's no other way but to let go. God will surely speak to me, I reassure my unsure self and go to bed.
It's a good feeling but I'm scared of it probably because of the past, failed relationship, no connection or compatibility whatsoever so time is continually wasted. I've avoided for so long, does this girl need to add to my burden. I'm just tired. I've talked to others about this philophobia but no one seems to truly understand.

Well, I'm afraid I'll be extremely depressed after two weeks of fun and pleasure. The issues of being together with someone you never grew up with is always numerous.
It is not just feelings or emotions. No, its an attitude and a choice. I choose to love and I feel good about it. Simply put, if I choose to love someone, the fruit of the Spirit named peace and goodness should be born out of that decision. Then while I walk through this decision, other fruits like patience, self-control, kindness, faithfulness, humility are born. This is because fruits like this will always ensure a healthy love walk.
Since peace and goodness do not well up in my spirit whenever I think about you or your proposal, it is really safe to say No. Same goes for other decisions in life. I love you but I love me, my peace and happiness more.
