Dooce Set Daram
I personalized this lullaby for my son, whose father is Persian, by using a combination of English and Persian phrases.
Dooce set daram
Dooce set daram
I love every little button bit of you
From your star-shine eyes
And you cute little nose
To your busy little hands
And your sweet little toes
Dooce set daram
I love you so
Dooce set daram
I love you pishy jon.
###Lullaby
Lullaby and goodnight
Close your sleepy little eyes
Go to sleep now
It’s time to dream
Time to dream of what you’ll be
Go to sleep, little one
The world is waiting for your you
Lullaby and goodnight
I will always love you
You Can Do It
You can do it,
You can do it
Anything, Anything,
You can do anything.
All it takes is determination…
If you’ll try try, try again…
If you try again and again
You will find…
You can do anything at all.
Kheili Mamnoon
This lullaby also combines English and Persian phrases
Kheili mamnoon, kheili mamnoon.
Sho ma khodet hasteed.
Thank you, thank you,
Thank you for being you.
There’s nothing better that you should be…
Nothing could make me happier you see.
So, thank you for being you!
Rockabye Baby
Rockabye baby
Sweet lullabies
The moon shines upon you
Stars shine in your eyes
For nightfall has come
And your rest you must take
Sweet dreams while you slumber
And smiles when you wake
Humpty Frumpty
by Mama and Mehrzad (aged 3) – My son loved playing with the lyrics of his favorite nursery rhymes. This is one of those rhymes for which he came up with his own lyrics, with a little help from mama, using the classic nursery rhyme.
Humpty Frumpty sat on a log
Humpty Frumpty was a fat frog
All the king’s horses
And all the king’s men
Couldn’t catch Frumpty
So, nyah, nyah, nyah
SPLAT!
Hey Diddle Diddle
by Mama and Mehrzad (aged 3) – This is another nursery rhyme for which my son had to have his own lyrics, wth a little help from mama.
Hey diddle diddle
The moose in the middle
The goose flew over the moon
The little horse laughed
To see such sport
Neigh -eigh -eigh -eigh
And the dish ran away
With the juice, the juice
The dish ran away with the juice!
This collection of lullabies are published in my ebook of poetry, entitled, My Life In Poetry – A book of original poems, much of which is autobiographical (though some are fictionalized or commentary) composed by D. Denise Dianaty. Get your copy here: http://a.co/gbWNVUb

I myself sing the child lullabies only when we are together at home, the rest of the time I turn on a wonderful selection on https://lullabies-for-babies.com/
That's cool. I always sang my lullabies for son whenever he wanted them, wherever we happened to be. He learned to say "mama sing" by the time he was eight months or so old.
