The fear within our hearts has grown
The deepest desire to stay true to ourselves has become harder
Can we be ourselves?
Or will we be wrongfully judged and outcast by society
We are the minorities
And we have a big target painted on our chest
We are different by merely our race
We are shamed for who we choose to love
We are hated due to the clothes we wear
The things we worship
And the paths we choose
Now is the time to rise together as one
We are minorities
But we are not alone
We may have lost this battle
But we will ultimately win the war
We will not be defeated by those uncaring
We will not be brought down by those who degrade us
We are stronger than they are
We have our rights,
And we refuse to have them robbed any longer.
