things you've never felt
slowly but surely

the smell of her hair

such innocence revealed
like Romeo and Juliet

what started as a glimpse
an unknowing glance
your first awkward kiss
that sweet taste of romance
everything's more exciting
what was old is now new
flowers smell better
and the sky seems more blue
first love is unique
careless and free
beguiling the soul
for all to see
it helps us to experience
those passions that burn
the subtleties of love
we learn to discern
under its spell
we bend to its will
forsaking all others
with its uncanny skill
nothing holds a candle
to those times in the sun
the memories you'll cherish
long after it's done
even when we've moved on
have a husband or a wife
you'll always remember

like a cool sip of water

such a great feeling isn't it!! I feel blessed that I've fallen deeply in love several times...each time profound and magnificent. I hope to have this feeling again ...maybe one day I can evolve enough to have it without the romantic love but with falling in love with life.
