Nine Ships

The western sea is silent now
And the kingdom under waves
As the faithless in their avarice
Atone in sunken graves

Were you counting all your portents?
Did you seek the stone that day?
Or by happy chance did you take your place
In timbered ships at bay?

Did the shipwright give you passage
As the sky began to fall
While the waters in the harbour
Swallowed spires standing tall?

Nine ships now sailing
Far away from bitter swells
And under where our soldiers fell
Lies sunken silver citadels
Legends we’re hailing
The sons of now forgotten kings
That leapt into the precipice
To man the ships of Westernesse

Nine ships are sailing
Away now from our kingdom
Asundered now by wicked ways
Foretold by lords in elder days
Onward we’re sailing
Eastward from calamity
To sew the seeds of prophecies
That speak to us from memories

Nine ships are sailing
Out from the western ocean
With a crew of faithful progeny
Bourne out of lands they’ll never see
Visions prevailing
Of basins swelled with blue and green
And sounds of swans a crying
That echo lands undying

Out of the west I’ve come here
In this place will I abide
And my heirs will reign here ever more
Finding hope among the tide

The sequence of words that have a broad and valuable meaning ... your writing is great and I enjoy reading, I found your writing link on the @wolfhart blog and he is very supportive of novice people to get better

It's quite difficult to write poetry that hits home, is interesting and has a great style of revelation. It's beautifully written. Keep going :)
