THE SUN WILL RISE AGAIN (An Original Poem)

sometimes there’s not a lot to say,
and the sour notes of sadness
bounce across the tongue

and even breathing feels hard,
the world seems to sharp
brushing up against its edges
will surely break us.

and it’s fine to be like this
to see it for what it is,

just know,
the sunny days will come again.
