To Write Away

It amazes me how one can create such beauty of pure emotions and be driven by them.

I chose to tie the picture above to this post because I thought the poem and the picture with the different emotions complimented each other.

I believe that every great action we fulfill is always inspired by something powerful and beautiful. An R&B singer can have number one hits from expressing their pain in such poetic ways, a poet writes about the oceans he must cross to get to his beloved and captures us in a time that becomes infinite when we read it.

When I read this, I saw an image of a person who is graciously fighting through times and memories that may have been tenacious, but who is determined to make those memories flourish.

To Write Away
I calmly stare at the pen held in my hand.

I think of what to write but what is there?

Nothing except the hollowness that fills me within.

When I wrote that night on my arm - pain ceased to exist.

As I kept going, something broke inside of me - a memory.

I thought of her.

The smile and wings she kept me alive long enough to remember.

That these hands weren't meant to destroy but to write.

Write the stories only the souls would know and escape.

From a world we know as reality - but what harm is there to dream?

Everyone has a story, they wish to write and one day, hoping it will be read.
